The Division for Learning Disabilities (DLD) is one of 17 special interest divisions of the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving educational outcomes for individuals with exceptionalities, including both students with disabilities and the gifted.

Membership in DLD

DLD Membership provides you with:

  • Learning Disabilities Research & Practice. DLD’s scholarly journal presents current research in the field of learning disabilities and provides information about research-based practices for teachers. Published 4 times per year.
  • Current Practice Alerts. Alerts provide an authoritative resource concerning the effectiveness of current practices intended for individuals with learning disabilities. A joint publication of DLD and the Division for Research (DR). 
  • New Times for DLD. DLD’s newsletter, formerly know as The DLD Times, provides the latest news about the organization’s activities as well as current events and issues in the field of learning disabilities. Published three times a year for members.

What does it cost? Not much!
If you’re already a member of CEC, you can add DLD for only $35. For students, it’s only $15.
