Teacher's Guide

Thinking About Inclusion and Learning Disabilities: A Teacher's Guide

This teacher’s guide from the Division for Learning Disabilities present the concepts and and research on learning disabilities and inclusion. It features explanations of what a classroom is like to a child with learning disabilities, and shows teachers how their classroom structures and instructional practices affect their students. The guide, which is a companion to "Research on Classroom Ecologies: Implications for the Inclusion of Children with Learning Disabilities," edited by Deborah Speece and Barbara Keogh and published by Lawrence Erlbaum (1996), is no longer in print. However, a free download of it is available here.
